DO NOT Go to the Walmart's Vision Center in Northport. Dealing with them was an absolute nightmare. The receptionist is rude, the optometrists incompetent. I have been going to them for years to have my entire families eyes examined. The last time I went they COMPLETELY lost all of my medical records regarding my eyes. I saw Doctor Box and the first thing he asked was did I have my other prescription. Thinking that I was getting my eyes examined for a reason, of course I didn't bring my prescription from a year ago. That seems like something that Walmart should have kept in their files (that they lost). After telling me that "Yeah that would have helped if you brought it". I guessed at what my prescription was and those were the contacts he gave me. Fast forward months later and I tried to order my contacts from 1800 contacts. I get a message from them saying that Dr. Box says he has no record of me. AGAIN! This makes the SECOND time these idiots have lost my records. They are unapologetic about it and the burden is put on the customer to prematurely have to get another prescription! They will swear up and down that you never came to them. I would have rather them to not have even responded. It is EXTREMELY unfair that I am unable to purchase my contacts because they LOST my records yet again. I have no doubt they would love for me to come in and drop some more cash to "examine" my eyes only for them to lose the prescription again and me be forced to have to repeat the same process in a ridiculously short time frame. What is the point in even going here? DO NOT GO HERE. I originally thought Dr. Box was different (all of the optometrists there are horrible and the receptionists are as well). DO NOT GO HERE.

Yes receptionist was sorta incompetent, she didn't know if they took medicaid or Medicare. I have to speak to the doctor tomorrow to confirm.
I was recommended by a friend to see Dr.Austin. He is great. He always does a complete check and beyond on my eyes since I have had surgery on both. I love the staff and they are very nice and not rude like some of the comments suggest. Go see Dr. AUSTIN AND STAFF FOR YOUR EYE CARE
