HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! I have done business with Pawn Royale since they first opened a few years ago. The prices were good and the staff friendly. Whatever the ticketed price was, they were always willing to make you a deal. Over the years, the staff however has gone through many changes and not all for the good. Only yesterday (8-2-2017) I bought a couple of guitars there. They gave me a good deal but one of the guitars was ticketed as having a hard shell case with it which as any musician knows, is more expensive and much better quality than the simple and cheaply made zip-up gig bag. The entire staff took turns looking for the case that went with the guitar and could not find it. I told them nicely without raising my voice or acting rude that I bought the guitar expecting a hard shell case to come with it. They offered me a zip-up gig bag (worth very little) but I declined. The manager (a really huge lineman looking guy in his 30s and I think one of the owners) said "give me your receipt" and began processing a refund. I could tell that he was very angry at this point. I told him calmly that I wanted the guitars and had not asked for a refund but had expected a hard shell case for my guitar since it had been labeled as having one in the showroom. He said loudly and with anger (well....you want them....take them!!!). I told him to give me my receipt back and I picked up my guitars and left. I have NEVER been treated so rudely by anyone in a pawn shop before. Though I'll miss the deals I usually get, it isn't worth it to be treated with such disrespect, rudeness and open hostility especially by a store manager/owner. I've been a good customer of theirs for several years. I won't be going back.
He refused to show me certain firearms (I guess some are just for display?), gave short one-word answers whenever asked a question, and when I politely pointed out that a certain firearm he is selling has a faulty hammer and wouldn't be functional, he got visibly angry and snapped at the salesgirl to take it from me and put it back in the case. Basically telling me that he wouldn't sell to anyone who questioned his merchandise. He also told me that their store policy is not to accept returns on firearms that don't work, even told me it would be illegal to do so (not true, every other pawn shop in town will take them back if faulty, I know from experience). To make matters worse, the prices are ridiculously high. Not a little high, but ridiculously absurdly high.
This is the worst pawn shop in the history of a pawn shop. The young kids that work behind the desk have no idea what something is worth. Btw if your on the clock don't complain in the background about your pay as an employee. If you don't like your job find another one. No one wants to hear that...
Rude and lazy employees. Prices are absolutely terrible.
I'd advise everyone to take their business elsewhere. Wades or Southern Jewelry will treat you soooo much better, and their prices will be fair.
There is a manager (owner?) that is very rude; acts like you are wasting his time by walking in the door, and it's immediately obvious that he wants you to leave without buying anything.
I have been coming here for the past few years whether it was to pawn or buy. I have always been treated fairly and with courtesy. Disregard the negative reviews this is the place to come for excellent service as well as products
